2015 was a big year for Oh No. In our first almost year of chatting assessment with you all we’ve written 54 posts, reached over 2,000 of you, and learned a lot along the way (like, posting 3x/week is a bit much for everyone…). I love end of the year time when all kinds of media go into review mode, highlighting big moments of the year. So in kind, voila
Oh No‘s Most Popular Posts of 2015:
And our most popular post of 2015 :::drum roll:::
THANK YOU so much for your readership this year! We are SO thankful for your support and look forward to talking more assessment with you all in 2016!
Outside of the Oh No-sphere, check out my 2 favorite year-end reviews:
- Google’s Year In Search 2015 – I love the video but the raw data of top searches is fun too.
- New York Times’s 2015: Year in Visual Stories and Graphics – We love data visualizations here at Oh No and no one does them better than NYT. We actually did a post on one that made the cut earlier this year. Here are some of my favorite data visualizations and other forms of interactive data storytelling from the best of 2015 list:
- The Flight of Refugees Around the Globe – They convey so much data in a few simple visuals; helps tell the story.
- A Quick Puzzle to Test Your Problem Solving – Who doesn’t love a little quiz? And this one relates your results to other aspects of thought.
- 10 Years After Katrina – The power of audio and hearing a story from the narrator’s mouth. Wow!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Well done, daughter dear…just your usual!!
